Dave And Central Cee’s ‘Sprinter’ Takes the Lead In U.K. Chart Race

The race is on! Dave and Central Cee‘s “Sprinter” (via Live Yours/Neighbourhood) edges into the lead on the midweek U.K. singles chart, after JHus and Drake came out fast from the starting blocks with “Who Told You”.

If “Sprinter” maintains its pace, it’ll land a second straight chart title. The track bowed at No. 1 last week, for Dave’s third leader and Central Cee’s first. And it set records in the process, by becoming the biggest-ever streaming week for a hip-hop single.

J Hus’ “Who Told You” (Black Butter/OVO/Republic) featuring Drake led the First Look chart, which gauges the most popular songs after the first 48 hours of the chart week. The track slows slightly, and is set to debut at No. 2 based on midweek sales and streaming data.

The Mercury Prize nominated rapper has 13 top 40 hits to his name, including three top 10s. If “Who Told You” shows a clean pair of heels in the days ahead, it’ll give the Stratford, England artist a first-ever U.K. No. 1, and Drake a seventh leader.

“Sprinter” is one of three tracks set to impact the top 20 from Dave and Central Cee’s surprise EP drop, Split Decision, as “Trojan Horse” rides to No. 10 and “UK Rap” appears at No. 14 on the chart blast.

Further down the midweek list, drum ‘n’ bass crew Rudimental’s “Dancing Is Healing” (Room Two) with  Charlotte Plank and Vibe Chemistry could lift 8-5.

Also on the way up is Scottish DJ Hannah Laing and singer RoRo’s “Good Love” (WUGD), which cracked the top 40 last Friday and is set to burst into the top 20, at No. 13.

All will be revealed when the Official U.K. Singles Chart is published Friday (June 16).

X is fully online after going down for most of the morning

X seems to be working again after struggling with an outage that took the service offline and made it slow to load for much of the morning. According to X�s developer platform page, there is an ongoing incident related to streaming endpoints that�s caused increased errors. The incident started at 7:39AM PT, according to the page.

That roughly coincides with a spike in reports at Down Detector. The issues seemed to be somewhat intermittent. At some points, X�s website loaded partially and only showed older posts. At other times, the app and website failed to load at all.

Google is appealing the ruling from its search antitrust case to avoid sharing data with rivals

Google has filed its appeal to the Department of Justice�s antitrust case that ended with a federal judge ruling that the company was maintaining a monopoly with its search business. While the company goes through the appeals process, it�s also asking that implementation of the remedies from the case, which include a requirement that Google share search data with its competitors, also be paused.

�As we have long said, the Court�s August 2024 ruling ignored the reality that people use Google because they want to, not because they�re forced to,� Google said in a statement. �The decision failed to account for the rapid pace of innovation and intense competition we face from established players and well-funded start-ups. And it discounted compelling testimony from browser makers like Apple and Mozilla who said they choose to feature Google because it provides the highest quality search experience for their consumers.�

Tout au long de l'été, la ville de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu sur la Rive-Sud de Montréal brille avec ses envolées quotidiennes de montgolfières qui colorent le ciel ainsi que l'International de montgolfières, un festival de neuf jours en août. Le 1er juin marquait d'ailleurs le coup d'envoi des festivités alors que l'équipe derrière l'événement a finalement annoncé la programmation complète.

À la fin mars, on nous présentait déjà deux têtes d'affiche qui seront présentes pour animer la foule durant le dernier week-end de l'événement, soit la chanteuse québécoise Alicia Moffet, les rappeurs Loud et Imposs ainsi que celui qui se cache derrière le récent succès Acapulco, Jason Derulo.

It's both an ordinary story and a really unusual one. "Kids get lost every day and Jesus was no different. But when his parents found him, he was debating with the religious leaders in the temple. He was 12. "The point of the story is to tell us again that Jesus was like us. He was a kid. He grew up. He got lost. But he's not just like us, he's something more."
