WATCH: Zia Yusuf issues rallying cry for UK leader who 'stands up for our interests' after Donald Trump speech
Reform UK's Head of Policy Zia Yusuf has attributed the party's dramatic rise in opinion polls to widespread public backing for its stance on energy and immigration.Speaking to GB News, Mr Yusuf claimed the party now enjoys support from approximately one third of British voters."The reason why Reform has surged in the polls and why we command the support of almost a third of the country, of the electorate, is because a third of the country agree that if we don't change our ways as a country with regards to energy policy," he told the broadcaster.Mr Yusuf launched a scathing attack on the Government's environmental targets, describing the commitment to net zero as a "mad religious obsession" that is damaging the nation. He also took aim at current border policy, characterising it as "insane mass untrammelled immigration and an open borders policy."The Reform UK official painted a stark picture of those crossing the Channel, claiming "tens of thousands of military aged men turn up on our beaches uninvited from countries that hate us."Mr Yusuf warned there was no indication of any shift in approach, stating: "And there's no sign of any of that changing. Of course, not only will bad things happen, they are happening."Mr Yusuf invoked President Trump's stated ambitions regarding Greenland to challenge the calibre of British political leadership."President Trump is saying that he wants the United States to take Greenland. He is the president of the United States, and that's what he wants," he said. The policy chief used this example to pose a pointed question about domestic politicians: "When are we going to get British political leaders who will stand up for our interests?"His remarks suggested Britain requires more assertive leadership willing to pursue national interests on the global stage, drawing an implicit contrast with the current American administration's approach.Mr Yusuf argued that the current geopolitical landscape demands a fundamental reassessment of national priorities."Look, it's clear whatever your political views, it is clear that today, in this new world order, economic strength and military might matter more than at any point since World War Two," he stated. The Reform UK figure condemned successive governments' environmental policies in the harshest terms, describing "the insane crushing of British industrial production and capacity at the behest of virtue signalling climate goals" as "one of the most treacherous acts of self-harm ever in this country by the Tories and Labour."He concluded with a rallying cry: "It's time for Britain to rebuild, rearm and compete on the world stage. And that's what Nigel Farage will do for us as Prime Minister."WATCH ABOVE.

ChatGPT is back up after an outage disrupted use this afternoon

If you had trouble using ChatGPT today, you aren't alone. The AI chatbot experienced a partial outage for many users this afternoon, with Down Detector saw reports reaching more than 12,000 reports around the peak point of the issue today.. OpenAI issued a status update shortly after noting that "elevated error rates" were occurring for ChatGPT and Platform users. That problem was marked as resolved at 5:14PM ET.

While the initial outage may be repaired, OpenAI does still have an active status alert up. It's only for the fine-tuning component of its API service. But the end may also be in sight for that final issue, because the current statement from the company is "We have applied the mitigation and are monitoring the recovering.

Take-Two hit pause on the Switch 2 port of Borderlands 4

2K owner Take-Two has paused development on Borderlands 4 for the Nintendo Switch 2, the company shared during its Q3 2026 earnings presentation. The Switch 2 port was originally planned to be released on October 3, 2025, a few weeks after the game's September 12 launch on all other platforms, but was indefinitely delayed on September 23.

"We made the difficult decision to pause development on that SKU," Take-Two told Variety. "Our focus continues to be delivering quality post-launch content for players on the ongoing improvements to optimize the game. Were continuing to collaborate closely with our friends at Nintendo. We have PGA Tour 2K25 coming out and WWE 2K26, and we're incredibly excited about bringing more of our titles to that platform in the future."

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has hit out at Labour's "grave errors of judgement" over Lord Peter Mandelson.Speaking to GB News Political Correspondent Katherine Forster, Mr Farage said: "How many more warnings? How many more warnings did the Prime Minister or indeed Morgan McSweeney need? "They have made a grave, grave error of judgement, despite repeated warnings, and this all comes at a time when you've got a Labour MP who's been sentenced to another four years in prison by a foreign court, a Labour MP arrested again and charged on some incredibly serious crimes. "And in politics, you will always get the odd bad apple in a political party, but it would appear that in the case right now of this Prime Minister and his chief of staff, their errors of judgement, partly their errors of judgement, have led now to case after case after case, difficult for somebody who was already the most unpopular Prime Minister in living memory. This deals yet a further blow."And so I still stick to the view that after May the 7th, when you see in Wales, for example, it's very difficult for me to think that Starmer will survive the summer, if he even gets through to May the 7th."WATCH ABOVE.
