RM, Jimin & J-Hope Share Heartfelt Messages With ARMY Ahead of BTS’ 10th Anniversary

BTS‘ 10th anniversary is just one day away, and to celebrate — in addition to the series of activities and events taking place in Seoul for the occasion — RM, Jimin and J-Hope posted heartfelt messages on Monday (June 12) to fans before the big day, thanking ARMY for their support over the past decade.

“It’s a really special thing to be enchanted by certain words,” RM wrote in his message, according to an AllKpop.com translation. “Until a noun becomes a pronoun; when BTS becomes BTS and when ARMY becomes ARMY…There was a lot of rain and wind, and also love. We built our own world that no one could possibly understand.”

He continued, “Thanks to the ARMYs and so many people who helped us, I was able to experience something special that I won’t be able to experience again. Looking back, I became used to kicking open the door and leaving after being absorbed in reminiscing briefly. Even now, I’m still imagining our part 2. It feels like it can be anything.”

Jimin, meanwhile, spoke about the unwavering dedication it takes for ARMY to support BTS in all its endeavors. “I’ve told you ARMYs a few times already, it’s not easy to support and love someone and give them strength for no particular reason,” the translated message reads, according to AllKpop.com. “That is why I am able to understand how happy we are. You, who made us feel this way, should feel overflowing happiness and receive love. You must. Understand? ARMY, whom I am always thankful to and love, Let’s be happy for a long long time.”

J-Hope, who is currently serving in the Korean military, also shared a note via WeVerse and the BTS Twitter account. “ARMYs, you’re all doing well, right??” the message reads, according to Koreaboo. “About now, I’m probably in an extremely nervous state with my military discipline!! In a sort of ‘scheduled text message’ vibe… To comfort all of you going through this Hobi-less time, I will send my greetings through letters on special days like this, even though it’s short!!”

BTS will celebrate its 10th anniversary on June 13. The town of Seoul will host multiple events over the next weekend to honor the septet’s impact on the country and for ARMY to participate in the festivities.

DOJ and states appeal Google monopoly ruling to push for harsher penalties against the company

Google might have been officially ruled to have a monopoly, but we're still a long way from figuring out exactly what that determination will change at the tech company. Today, the US Department of Justice filed notice of a plan to cross-appeal the decision last fall that Google would not be required to sell off the its Chrome browser. The agency's Antitrust Division posted about the action on X. According to Bloomberg, a group of states is also joining the appeal filing. 

At the time of the 2025 ruling, the Justice Department had pushed for a Chrome sale to be part of the outcome. Judge Amit Mehta denied the request from the agency. "Plaintiffs overreached in seeking forced divesture of these key assets, which Google did not use to effect any illegal restraints," Mehta's decision stated. However, he did set other restrictions on Google's business activities, such as an end to exclusive deals for distributing some services and a requirement to share select search data with competitors.

ChatGPT is back up after an outage disrupted use this afternoon

If you had trouble using ChatGPT today, you aren't alone. The AI chatbot experienced a partial outage for many users this afternoon, with Down Detector saw reports reaching more than 12,000 reports around the peak point of the issue today.. OpenAI issued a status update shortly after noting that "elevated error rates" were occurring for ChatGPT and Platform users. That problem was marked as resolved at 5:14PM ET.

While the initial outage may be repaired, OpenAI does still have an active status alert up. It's only for the fine-tuning component of its API service. But the end may also be in sight for that final issue, because the current statement from the company is "We have applied the mitigation and are monitoring the recovering.

Le 1er juin marquait d'ailleurs le coup d'envoi des festivités alors que l'équipe derrière l'événement a finalement annoncé la programmation complète.

À la fin mars, on nous présentait déjà deux têtes d'affiche qui seront présentes pour animer la foule durant le dernier week-end de l'événement, soit la chanteuse québécoise Alicia Moffet, les rappeurs Loud et Imposs ainsi que celui qui se cache derrière le récent succès Acapulco, Jason Derulo.
